He had the idea of competing long ago.
After dropping from his heaviest — 120kg — to just over 60kg through strict dieting,
he made a promise to himself:
“I want my kids to see a hero — a strong, muscular dad —
not a tired, greasy, pot-bellied man.”
For most of our 323 days of training, everything ran like clockwork.
There was one binge episode, a few low moods, and countless moments where he wanted to curse a rude customer 🤣
He would share his kitchen stories — sometimes frustrating,
yet always told with humor and calm.
He never passed his negativity to others.
To me, that’s his most admirable strength. 🌿
His first competition didn’t go perfectly.
The stage pace was fast; his back pose didn’t fully open,
and neck stiffness cost him points.
But instead of complaining, he worked even harder —
practicing his posing during lunch breaks, fine-tuning every detail.
When the SXC Show came, he stepped on stage with 3% body fat
and walked away with multiple gold medals 🥇
From a shy beginner to a calm, confident athlete,
I witnessed how “a dream bloomed into reality.” 🌸
One moment still stays with me:
The first time he attended a teammate’s competition —
he brought a bouquet of flowers.
When he handed it over, his eyes turned red.
Because in that moment,
he wasn’t just seeing her — he was seeing the future version of himself. 🌹
Bodybuilding has never been just for coaches or professionals.
Medals don’t define victory or defeat.
Ordinary people, too, can dream —
and step under the spotlight.
Just like he proved in those 323 days:
“The sky is vast; there should be no limits to how high we can fly.” ✨
