168 Days of Bodybuilding Prep — What Did We Do?
🗓️ Prep Period: Apr 21 – Oct 5 (168 days)
📉 Weight: 58kg ➡️ 45.2kg (lowest), Stage Weight: 46kg
👩🎤 Profile: Twin mom | Influencer | 40+ | Three jobs | E-commerce star
🧐 My first impression: A strong woman, talkative, dominant, photo addict, a little neurotic — but with insane discipline.
🏆 Competitions: NBA Winter Show / WNBF VIC Show / ICN VIC Show (see image 3)
Our journey began when she decided that, at age 40,
she wanted to step on a bodybuilding stage — as a gift to herself. 🎁
During these 168 days:
She binged once, cried three times,
said she was exhausted countless times,
and cursed her husband… well, also countless times 🤣
Once, I asked half-jokingly,
“So what now? You want to quit?”
She snapped back,
“Everyone else can tell me to quit — but not you, my coach!” (twice.)
Most of the prep was repetitive, unglamorous work:
4 strength sessions a week, daily steps, strict meal tracking, and weekly check-ins — again and again.
Sometimes she’d call me a “boring straight man” because I’d only talk when pointing out problems,
and respond to her good work with a simple “good job.”
She needed — and deserved — more praise.
Contest prep isn’t just about losing fat.
It’s about strategy — choosing which shows to enter,
and when to hold back.
For me, maximizing my client’s success means maximizing medal potential —
so we plan each competition carefully based on condition and timing.
Beginners often make mistakes on stage.
That’s why I usually schedule smaller shows first —
to “find the problems” and adjust the plan.
And it worked.
By the time she reached the VIC State Show,
she walked away with 4 gold and 3 silver medals. 🥇🥈
She beat seasoned competitors — influencers, coaches, and veterans alike.
We were both thrilled with the outcome. ✅
Now that the season’s over, we’ve entered the recovery phase.
Then one day, out of nowhere, she said:
“Coach, I think I want to go for my pro card.”
And I said,
“Please… have mercy on me.” 😅
Bodybuilding isn’t just for the elite — it’s for anyone bold enough to dream big.
She’s living proof that age, motherhood, or career are never limits —
they’re the fuel. 🔥
